SEQUENCING for IMPOSTER

I’ve never sequenced before for a topic so open ended. With IMPOSTER, I didn’t form the idea until my wife took it upon herself to hand select a few that were “mysterious”. She had a great eye for this, as I didn’t realize my photography even represented that.

It’s incredibly valuable to ask others what your photography means to them. At the end of the day, I am a photographer of the moment, the spark hits me immediately when holding the camera, however the “good photo” is so much afterward that I alone am not responsible to give that publicize that label. But maybe I am.

That hesitancy of the work is the reason many of us grapple with art. Especially with photography, where the decisive moment is a fraction of a second - how could I justify I am good at this?

Thus. IMPOSTER came to light. Consider this upcoming photobook an exploration of light, character, and composition - with a dash of enigma. But also consider, this photobook an expression of myself saying: “I’m good enough.” I hope by saying this, you are inspired as well. We all deserve to recognize ourselves when we put in the work, we really do.
