IMPOSTER presents photographs made by Eric DeJesus, captured in the cities of Philadelphia and New York, and throughout regions of Japan between 2021 and 2024.

In a stimulating and ephemeral urban landscape, our anonymity offers fleeting refuge from prying eyes. Yet, this fragile veil is pierced by our desire to connect and be seen. IMPOSTER explores this intricate dance between visibility and obscurity, inviting us to question authenticity of our thoughts and actions. These photographs challenge us to explore the depths of identity and belonging, asking:

“Am I shaped by the perceptions of others?”
